Excellent at "explosive" spring buildup. They are very thrifty with food in the winter and are arguably the gentlest bees to work with. Best for beekeepers in colder climates or those who experience long winters and short, intense nectar flows. Available in 3lb bee packages with marked queen or in 5-frame overwintered Nuc with marked queen. Available for pickup in different locations throughout the Southwest.
Pickup dates: mid-April and mid-May.
